Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Marrakech - Essaouira
The road lined with olive and argan trees leads us to Essaouira, a charming
fishing village with its ramparts, immense beach, port, and colorful alleys.
Day 2
Day 2: Essaouira - Tiznit - Aglou beach
The rugged rocky coast dotted with fishing villages is beautiful up to Aglou.
Day 3
Day 3: Oued Massa - Tiznit - Aglou beach
Walk in the ecological reserve of birds of the Massa wadi in a wonderful natural
setting. then visit the medina and the mellah (old Jewish quarter) of Tiznit
renowned for its jewelry.
Day 4
Day 4: Mirleft - Sidi Ifni – Tighmert
A beautiful coastal road leads to Mirleft then Sidi Ifni, a former Spanish enclave
perched on a high cliff. Then head to the mountains for a night in the oasis of
Tighmert and its lush gardens.
Day 5
Day 5: Tan Tan - Guelmim - Tighmert
Visit Tan Tan and its immense white beach then Guelmim, once a caravan
center on the road to Timbuktu and today, a meeting place between the
sedentary population and the nomads of the desert.
Day 6
Day 6: Guelmim - Tafraoute
Head to the Anti-Atlas mountains to reach Tafraoute nestled in a circus of
granite rocks with magnificent colors.
Day 7
Day 7: Ait Mansour Gorges
Walk in the Ait Mansour gorges, a geological ensemble of great beauty.
Day 8
Day 8: Tata - Foum Zguid
The road passes through Tata, a pink oasis fed by numerous wadis, before
arriving at Foum Zguid, the gateway to the desert.
Day 9
Day 9: Chigaga
Via the dried-up Iriqui lake, arrival at the great dunes of Chigaga. Camel ride to
reach the bivouac and spend a night under the stars in a Saharan tent.
Day 10
Day 10: M'hamid - Zagora
A sandy track crosses the dunes to M'Hamid and its old ksar then the road leads
to Tamgroute renowned for its Quranic library and traditional pottery. Night in
Zagora.
Day 11
Day 11: Zagora - Tamnougalte – Ouarzazate
Along the Draa Valley and its palm grove, arrival at Tamnougalte, an old
caravan stop and magnificent pisé kasbah. After Agdz and its typical market,
cross lunar and barren landscapes with strange rock formations to Ouarzazate,
the city of cinema.
Day 12
Day 12: Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet – Marrakech
Direction to the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable site classified as a
UNESCO World Heritage site. Then, through the old caravan route, Telouet and
the Ounila valley before the Tichka pass and Marrakech.
